The long-awaited “BeachLife in Brazil” trip is now here!  With 7,000 miles of tropical coastline, Brazil makes a perfect fit to our Beach-Life!

Join us as we tear up the white sand beaches of Brazil, basking in the sun, swimming in the crystal clear waters, partying till the sun comes up, and exploring all the adventurous activities that the country has to offer.

Brazil Highlights:  Rio, Ilha Grande, Paraty, Trindade, Buzios.

This BeachLife in Brazil departure focuses on the some of the most pristine white sand beaches, best parties, and only the best of the best when it comes to our optional activities. 

Beginning your trip in Rio, we spend a few nights on the famous “Ipanema Beach” where we will soak up the sun, party to the Samba music, and do a few optional activities such as the Cristo Redentor, Sugar Loaf, Favela Tour, a Football Match, hang gliding, and more!

Next we will make our way down the coast where things get even more tropical and even more beautiful.  Ilha Grande will be our first stop, a relaxing tropical island blanketed with dense jungle, white sand beaches, amazing hikes, scuba-diving, cool sailing trips, and more. 

After Ilha Grande we then explore the cobble stone streets of Paraty, a town rich with history, with colorful doors welcoming you to its unique shopping experience, incredible snorkeling, and more breathtaking sailing trips.   

Not far from Paraty is our next stop, Trindade, occupying a beautiful coastline with 4 of Brazil’s most incredible white sand beaches just a few steps away! 

After Trindade we make our way back up the coast, driving past Rio in our comfortable coach buses to reach the luxurious town of Buzios.  Buzios is the perfect end to our time spent in Brazil, and it wouldn’t be complete without it.  Cobblestone streets, cool shopping boutiques, fine dining restaurants, a lively beach with soft white sand, and a nightlife that will keep you partying till the sun comes up!

What’s included in the price of my trip?

1. *Airfare to Rio de Janeiro and return.
2. All accommodations.
3. All transportation between locations.
4. A group of 10 – 15 people, ages 18-35.
5. 24 hour on-site BeachLife staff and emergency assistance.
6. An information package telling you everything you need to know about safety, your locations, activities, what we recommend to bring, and more!
7. Onsite BeachLife party guides to make sure that you are having a great time...all the time!
8. A calendar of day to day activities; chose to take part or do your own thing.
9. A free professional **Capoeira lesson with the option of registering for more classes.
10. All taxes are included in the price.

We also organize a ton of optional activities such as tours to the Cristo, Sugar Loaf, the Favelas, soccer games, hang gliding, sailing trips, driving buggies over sand dunes, scuba-diving, snorkeling, and more! These activities come at an additional price but are discounted so they do not cost very much. During our trip you can decide which activities you would like to take part in, and you can pay on that day that the activity will take place.

* Alternatively you can take our land-only package which doesn't include flights, in this case we would ask for your flight information and meet you at the airport on the day of the trip.  Contact us if you would like a quote on our land-only packages.

* Please note that all of our departures starting on the same date travel together, regardless of the trip duration.  So if your friend can only travel for 2 weeks and you want to travel for 3, then you can still travel togther!

* All accommodations include private rooms that are normally shared as a double or a triple; we do NOT stay in dorms.  Single rooms are available at an additional charge.  Dorms are an option in Rio, if that’s what you would prefer then please let us know.

** Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that makes a ritual of movements from martial arts, games, and dance.  Calgary departures only (because that's where the classes are).

When to go: 

Our Brazil departures are scheduled during the absolute best times to visit the country.  By November the winter season has passed and everyone is excited for long sunny days on the beach.  Beautiful weather and a festive atmosphere follow all the way up until June, where basically each month brings on a whole new vibe.  Departures in February are more expensive because of Carnival, so prices triple and things get expensive.  The rise in prices during February are all for a good reason, as you will never experience a city so alive and full of energy as you will during this festival.

We do no have any departures from mid-June to October simply because the weather is not very nice during those months, which would of course impact your overall experience.  This is too bad because a lot of our BeachLife travelers want to depart between June to August; however this is the Brazilian winter, so it’s just not worth it for you.  With that being said, if the summer is the only time for you to depart then May would be your time to go, there's till great weather, big parties, and lots to see and do.  As you can imagine this departure fills up extremely fast, sometimes even a year in advance, same goes for our Carnival departure.  Due to popular demand, if you do have a group of friends (7+) wanting to depart during a different month then let us know and we’ll open up a new tour.

No matter which date you decide to travel with us we can assure you that you’ll have the time of your life, and our BeachLife guides will be there to make sure it happens.  Our guides are from Canada & the UK; they’re a ton of fun and always super laid back.  Generally the guides are in the ages of 25-30, and always have an additional local guide during our optional tours.
